Pieces That Are All the Same Solid Color By Pure Hell Puzzles

Pieces That Are All the Same Solid Color By Pure Hell Puzzles

Looking for a real challenge in your life? Try Pure Hell, a maddening puzzle made up of extra tiny pieces that are all the same solid color, created by the sadistic minds at Beverly Japan.

pure hell

Pure Hell puzzles come in 1,000 and 2,000 piece variants and promise to make you utterly miserable while you try to figure out where the pieces fit in. Looking at the image of the completed puzzle on the box, you may be tempted to think that all of the puzzle pieces are the same and can be placed anywhere to quickly complete it. Alas, that is just a cruel illusion.

The puzzle pieces are actually based on seven different shapes and you are required to figure out all the subtle differences between them. If you feel any tightness or see the tiniest misalignment when putting two pieces together, it means they don’t fit, even if you’re absolutely sure that you have found the right combination. So you’d better try again or risk having to start over later. They are called Pure Hell for a reason.

Pure Hell puzzles have been available on Amazon for about three years, with prices ranging between $20 and $34, and those crazy enough to buy them have left some pretty interesting reviews:

“This puzzle is the Devil reincarnated into an inanimate object! If you don’t read an updated review from me within 6 months please send help!” Alessandra B. wrote.

“Seventeen months so far, one wife, two jobs and two almost girlfriends (sort of). Seven thousand dollars worth of delivery food, twelve boxes of fingertip bandages and all the hope and prayers I could muster. Still, after all that, I have a side and a half complete. Kill me, someone, please … What fun! … really …”  Todd L. complained.

“I bought this puzzle because my team at work was going through one 1000 piece puzzle a week. This puzzle stopped them dead in their tracks. They managed about 10 connections over the course of a month, after they separated the pieces into quarter puzzles based on the pattern on the back. They eventually gave up and got back to work,” user That Fancy Fish posted.

So if you’re looking for a reason to cry yourself to sleep every night, or if you want to teach a cocky so-called puzzle solving master a lesson, try Pure Hell.

Hokkaido Island Is Home To Incredibly Cute Animals

Ezo Momonga

Incredible cute animals. Hokkaido, the large island at Japan’s northern end, is home to populations of adorable little critters that can’t be found anywhere else in Japan. There are several cute little critters in particular that you will absolutely fall in love with!

Some of these are just subspecies of other more widely-spread critters, while others are unique natives. All of them, however, are cute. Whether it’s for the winter sports, natural sights, unique culture or cute animals, Hokkaido is definitely worth a visit if you’re ever in Japan.

A photographer who goes by Pop Shiretoko on Twitter took most of these pictures, so check them out!

The adorable Ezo Momonga is a type of flying squirrel unique to Hokkaido. Its huge, dark eyes and little paws are so cute that it has become a local mascot of sorts, appearing on the regional railway’s refillable ticket cards.

Unlike the Northern long-tailed tits in the rest of Japan, this one doesn’t have brown “eyebrows” – its face is completely white.

Japanese Hotel Rents Out An Alpaca Wedding Witness

Japanese Hotel Rents Out An Alpaca Wedding Witness

Alpaca Wedding Witness. The Epinard Nasu Hotel, in Japan’s Tochigi Prefecture, offers a highly unconventional wedding service.

Newlyweds can rent a cute, fluffy alpaca from a nearby zoo to act as a witness to their wedding.

No one really knows when the hotel started using alpacas to attract customers, or how they came up with the unique idea.

But judging from the number of photos happy newlyweds have been posting on Japanese social media lately, it’s definitely becoming popular.

The ceremony is performed in a simple but alluring chapel decorated by the hotel staff members.

The bride and groom can then make their way down the aisle with an unusual twist.

The alpaca is led by an experienced handler who ensures that it behaves accordingly and guests are advised to give the cute and furry animal some space as it has a tendency to spit.

The dedicated alpaca trainer later handles the furry guest while wedding photographs are taken.

It’s not that alpacas are good luck charms, nor are they part of some obscure Japanese ritual, they’re just cute and a sure way to make a wedding memorable.

Still, some things not even the most experienced trainers can prevent, so if you smell something funny during the proceedings, just ignore it.

Usually they just stand there as the newlyweds exchange vows and declare their love for each other, kind of like human witnesses do.

Hotel Epinard Nasu offers a special “Alpaca Wedding” package for only 488,000 yen (US $4,473).

This already includes a wedding dress and tuxedo rental, a chapel wedding ceremony, a photo album, a night at the hotel and dinner.

What more could you ask for? This package could just be what you need to make your special day the wedding of your dreams.

This is definitely something unique and extraordinary to include into your wedding plans!
