Cowboys (-2.5) at Panthers — At some point I’m gonna write a 10,000 word screed Madden 24 coins running down the many reasons why the Cowboys have driven me insane over the last decade, but for now I’m thankful that I was on a plane at game time at the Ravens games last week. This might have been the final nail for me this season.

Redskins (+6.5) to Giants (6.5) at Giants Osi Umenyora has become somewhat sarcastic at his Bob Griffin praise this week while Jason Pierre-Paul hasn’t been playing it quite so diplomatic (via New York Daily News):

“Don’t bring it up to my side. Go the other way. Be assured that we chase quarterbacks all time. We run and turn to the ball, regardless of what. We might see him sneak past us and then speed straight past us, but trust me when I say we’re right behind him. … You’ll be stunned. Surprised indeed.”

It’s been quite an interesting two weeks. The upcoming Super Bowl and the events of Media Day on Tuesday dominating headlines. It all culminates in Super Bowl 49 on Sunday. There’s a final major celebration before kickoff: The Madden NFL 24 Honors show on Saturday night. It is the time when the annual awards will be given out to the best players in the league. In addition, the Madden NFL 24 Honors show will also be the time when officially the Pro Football Hall of Fame Class of 2015 will be announced.

The list of finalist for this year’s selection was narrowed to 15 early in January, down from an listing of 26, from back in November 2014. It’s a strong pool, like always and it’s already seen many big names cut from it. A few players who did not make it through the first year they were eligible include Isaac Bruce, Torry Holt and Edgerrin James.

The full list of finalists is Warner, Davis, Lynch, Orlando Pace, Junior Seau, Morten Andersen, Jerome Bettis, Tim Brown, Kevin Greene, Charles Haley, Marvin Harrison, Will Shields, coaches Coryell, Duny and Johnson, as well as contributors buy mut 24 coins  Bill Polian and Ron Wolf. Mick Tingelhoff is the lone senior finalist.
