Popular and long-running online role-play video game series RuneScape is now available for tabletop gaming with two new games that will be launched later this year. Publisher and developer of video games of RuneScape, Jagex OSRS Gold, has collaborated with tabletop gaming giant Steamforged Games to create both games for the tabletop and a board playbook for the role-playing game, inspired by the rich fantasy the world of Gielinor.

Both games will debut in 2022, with the board game being launched via Kickstarter and the TTRPG is set to hit stores. The games will draw on the characters, adventures and locations that have been a part of RuneScape’s extensive lengthy history of 21 years, with the board game featuring five and one player on quest-based quests through Gielinor.

They will craft and upgrade equipment, improve their character prepare special meals, interact with NPCs, and test their talents while exploring different regions across the globe, and with a variety of enticing side quests that will distract and amuse them along the way.

The TTRPG will comprise a lavishly illustrated, hardback, core book that includes guidelines for players to play the RuneScape tabletop role-playing game with the possibility of creating personal characters. They can explore Gielinor and design unique and exciting quests. The TTRPG book’s core is perfectly compatible with rules of fifth edition of the tabletop roleplaying game.
