PSVR 2 has yet to receive a release date past 2023, however Sony attempts to ensure that there’s adequate stock of PS5 consoles available to play games on the new headset FIFA 23 Coins. The hardware is only compatible with PS5 and will not be backwards compatible with PSVR games.
What is known about the hardware is that it comes with impressive specifications. Like the PS5 with its DualSense controller, Sony is incorporating haptic feedback and adaptive triggers eye-tracking and inside-out tracking as well as 3D sound into its kit however, it’s not yet released a final retail price.
“PSVR 2 looks poised be an important step for gaming space,” Tamoor Hussain wrote in GameSpot’s PSVR 2 preview. “It must be observed if PSVR 2 will be able to draw widespread attention, but at the minimum, I’m confident that it’ll bring us one step closer to reaching its full potential.”
