The most thrilling announcements that came out of January was the announcement by Blizzard that a brand new game set in the “all brand new world” is currently in the works and will add another line to the Diablo WoW creator’s metaphorical bow D2R Items. Blizzard wasn’t alone in announcing something new and exciting but Apex Legends creator Respawn Entertainment also revealed that it’s working on a new triple A shooter.
To top it off players of turn-based strategy games were thrilled to hear about a new studio manned by Doom and XCOM developers, which have come together to add more strategic value to the ever-growing genre.
The highlight of February was, obviously, Elden Ring. It was hailed as one of the top FromSoftware games ever it was the RPG game soared to the top of charts, requiring players from across the globe to recover the item that was originally featured. Additionally, Elden Ring, Amazon Games and Smilegate RPG brought ARPG/MMO hybrid Lost Ark to the West after a wildly successful launch in Korea. While server queues soared and players often lost the will to live but the game has exploded post-launch and has now added numerous exciting classes and zones. Dying Light 2 also deserves being mentioned briefly; after all, who doesn’t love the thrill of killing zombies?
Finally, Valve changed the landscape of gaming on the go which we explored within the Steam Deck review. Initially, few people could access the handheld because of reservations system and the large number of people who put an order, but the device rapidly was a hit by gamers thanks to boot screen tweaks or physical devices, as well as gamers racing to enhance their games to work with the latest system.
We highly recommend you take a look at the Elden Ring review, particularly considering it’s the PCGamesN Game of the Year 2022. If Soulslikes aren’t your cup of buy diablo 2 resurrected items tea then there’s reviews of Dying Light 2 review and Lost Ark review for you to explore.
