It doesn’t appear that Dragonflight will be arriving anytime soon in the near future, with Blizzard taking the “when it’s ready” method to the expansion. That’s a lesson learned from the release of Shadowlands and saw many players express concern that the expansion wasn’t appearing to be ready for primetime and needed more playtesting WoTLK Gold in the game’s test realm prior to launch.

As well as Dragonflight, Blizzard also announced that it will release a new game’s Wrath of the Lich King expansion. Wrath of the Lich King Classic is expected to be released later in the year, however with some surprising changes to keep the game in line with what Blizzard has described as Classic’s “core qualities.”

Blizzard is bringing to World of Warcraft ‘s wildly loved Wrath of the Lich King expansion however, when it launches, it could be more outdated than the players will remember.

Wrath of the Lich King was an innovative expansion in several ways. It was during the upgrade that Blizzard’s MMORPG achieved its peak in number of players, and the expansion introduced the first new character, the form of the Death Knight, added achievements as well as a fan-favorite villain who served as the ideal base for building an entire expansion around. Although many players, and Blizzard itself, might not recognize it at the time, Wrath of the Lich King also started to lay the foundations for what would become the modern-day version of the game which included the convenience of features like automated dungeon matchmaking and markers on the map that inform players exactly where to take their journey to complete their missions.Dragonflight has no launch date and is not yet available on the game’s PTR, but early indications suggest a March 2023 release window. Shadowlands will get an update called Season 4 later this summer in an effort to make the gap between expansions by making the previous Shadowlands buy WoTLK Classic Gold raids as well as the dungeons of previous expansions relevant yet again.
