And wanting have a character with a sense

Dude, I don’t know how to tell you that, but being a”favorite character” was NEVER a requirement for getting into Smash Bros.. Ever. Iconography and fame are not some sort of sacred point to consume. The Animal Crossing Items only thing Sakurai has ever said on the subject is that the figures he places in need to be out of a video game (obviously) and be able to have a realized moveset in Smash. That is it. And judging from all of the years of”Ridley too large” and his position as a boss-monster in Smash, I imagine Sakurai himself had difficulty imagining Ridley smash-ified, which explains exactly why his addition took so long.

What? Uh no, it’s not though. The shape, proportions and structure of Ridley’s model in smash are not at all like how he is in the first Metroid.

And wanting have a character with a sense that suits in to Smash is a lot harder than you are making it out. It isn’t only about the move set not being complicated, in regards to the character feeling like they belong in this smash-ified universe, while nevertheless being recognizably that character. Maybe this can be a more vague idea than I can get across, so I want to attempt using an illustration. You ever noticed gameplay for PlayStation All-Stars? While every one the characters in that game are recognizably these characters, the way that they move in the game, the way they fight, how they play off of each other, just… doesn’t really do the job. Something about it constantly seems, and does not quite feel like a cohesive game. And that’s what I’m talking about; making a balance where a character is recognizably still the personality they are, while also making them feel”right” in the context of a celebration fighting game like this.

No matter if you agree or not, Sakurai clearly did not feel as though he would pull off that balance in Brawl and Smash 4 together with Ridley, but was totally conscious of his importance (hence his status a boss). Maybe something changed, or maybe just Sakurai thought about it a little tougher, but he did come about discovering that right balance for Ultimate.People are just tired of Ninteno’s increasing failure to provide. Their Direct announcements have been yawnworthy. Switch is SUCH a cool platform but it feels underutilized due to their important IP. Lots of little indie games and quirky Japanese ports. Remakes of games no one asked for, and no remakes of those people are asking for. They just seem utterly deaf to their fanbase, and not just that, HOSTILE for their fanbase in many ways (shutting down fan mods of matches, DMCAing youtubers, the smash controversy, etc ).

It is just hard to a lot of people to see among their favourite sport companies languish like this, myself included. It seems just like buy Animal Crossing Bells you’re cheated buying this system and hardly any major franchise/AAA titles are published on it.
