Avengers Endgame. IDMB describes the new Avengers film in one sentence, ‘In the aftermath of Thanos wiping out half of all life in the universe, the remaining Avengers must do what’s necessary to undo the Mad Titan’s deed.’
And the internet is working hard to psyche people up for this movie.
But I’m wondering, as a Avengers fan – that is before Infinity Wars, for how many other fans did the Avengers franchise lost its lustre after Marvel thought it would be a good idea to kill our super hero’s in one swoop. It was a massacre of all that was good and strong and that stood between us and the darkness of evil. There is no more joy in watching any of the Avengers movies because Infinity Wars overshadow any joy that we felt when watching them over and over again. One might say that Marvel did an excellent job in destroying the legacy of our untouchable superhero’s.
I’m also wondering how all the kids felt after watching their hero’s die in Infinity Wars. It must’ve been somewhat traumatic for them. The parents can’t be too happy with Marvel at this moment for breaking their kids’ hearts. I wonder how the parents explained to their crying little children why Infinity Wars killed nearly everybody. Couldn’t have been good times in a lot of households at the end of the film.
In the Avengers Endgame the remaining Avengers must undo what Thanos did. Really? Are they serious!? He is so mighty that he killed half of all life in the universe and these remaining Avengers will somehow be able to UNDO what he did. Does that mean that the dead Avengers will also magically come back to life again and everybody will live happily ever after?
Why would I watch another Avenger movie just to be set up for another disappointment?
