1. Connect a 75-ohm coaxial cable (not included) from the device to the ANT / CABLE input on the TV.

Tip: If you are using an antenna with a 300-ohm two-wire cable, you must use a 300-75 ohm adapter (not included) to adapt the cable to a connection compatible with the antenna input of the TV.

  1. Make sure the TV is plugged into a power outlet and the power button is lighting up.

Tip: The first time you select the antenna TV tile, you need to set the TV tuner. The TV tuner setup scans the active channels and adds them to your TV channel list. When setting up Antenna TV, the TV scans the signals at its antenna input for channels with a good signal, and adds them to the channel list, skipping channels with no signal or channels with a very weak signal. 1. On the home screen, select the TV antenna.

  1. Read the simple on-screen instructions and select to start setup.

5. If prompted, select the time zone. You will only need to do this if the TV cannot determine your time zone from the Internet connection.

  1. When prompted, select whether you want to add analog channels 3 and 4 (to allow you to connect decoders, VCRs, or video game consoles).

  1. Wait while your TV scans for antenna TV stations

Tip: Cable TV channels are channels from a cable TV provider that you can receive by connecting their cable directly to your TV (unencrypted NTSC, ATSC, and QAM channels if you are the type of person who is interested in the details). In many cases, your cable provider probably requires you to use their set-top box and connect it to a different input, and then use the cable box to tune in the cable channels. In that case, you can skip the cable channel scan.

8. When the channel scans, the TV shows the number of channels you have added, the channel search may take several minutes.

Tip: Repeat the channel scan from time to time to make sure you are receiving all the latest channels. Broadcasters add and remove channels, shift channels to different parts of the spectrum, and change the power levels of their channels periodically.

Note: You will need to repeat the channel scan if you remove the TV Antenna tile from the home screen or perform a factory reset. To repeat the channel search at any time, go to Settings> TV inputs> Antenna TV> Scan channels again. Antenna reception and picture quality depend on the position of your antenna and its location in relation to the antennas of broadcasters in your area.
